Bumpers on today's cars are generally durable, but with the constant use of cars in our sometimes hectic lives, the liability increases and unforeseen accidents will happen: a tight parking spot, someone else's bad judgment (or maybe yours), etc. A scuffed or torn bumper does not mean it's time for a new one.
